Dr Stéphane Biacchesi, handling virology-related manuscripts, has been a researcher in the field of molecular virology since the 2000s, having worked on various viral pathogens infecting fish and humans (pneumovirus, rhabdovirus, orthomyxovirus and alphavirus). Currently he leads a research group at the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE), which focuses on fish virus-host interactions, fish innate immunity and vaccine development.
