The distribution of PEDV in nasal cavity after intranasal inoculation in neonatal piglets. A For FACS analyses, neonatal piglets were nasally administered PEDV at indicated times. Then, individual cells isolated from the nasal mucosa were gated based on cytokeratin 18, and viral infection was detected by PEDV N protein staining, n = 3 from 3 piglets per group. B IHC results showed PEDV distribution in five cross-sections (I, II, III, IV and V) of the nasal cavity at 12 h post intranasal infection. The scale bar represents 20 μm.
