S/P ratios of PEDV IgA antibody in SICs. SICs in the upper jejunum, lower jejunum and ileum were collected at 2, 7, 14, and 28 dpi from pigs inoculated with PEDV. The IgA ELISA was used to detect antibodies to PEDV in SICs collected from the upper jejunum, lower jejunum, and ileum. *p < 0.05 and **p < 0.01 (significant and highly significant differences between control and inoculated pigs euthanized at the indicated times, respectively) determined using Dunnett's test. ‡p < 0.05 (significant difference among tissues) determined using Tukey's test.
