Schematic representation of two successive assignments performed by the algorithm. During the assignment #1, the largest batch is larger than the largest producer, so the algorithm selects a set of two producers (of sizes 5 and 3). During the assignment #2, the largest producer is larger than the largest batch, so the algorithm selects a set of two batches (of sizes 4 and 3). The updated producer and batch lists at the end of the assignment #1 is used as the input of the assignment #2.
