Cytokine production in various organs ofE. cuniculiexperimentally orally infected rabbits in 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks (w) post-infection. Real-time PCR was performed in samples of spleen (SPL), mesenteric lymph nodes (MLN), Peyer’s patches (PP), small intestine and popliteal lymph node (PLN). The relative expression of a gene of interest (IFN-γ, IL-4, IL-10 and IL-17) was calculated as a ratio to HPRT reference gene. The parameters with significant difference (P < 0.05) and (P < 0.01) when compare to control (con) uninfected rabbits are marked with * and ** respectively. Data are presented as mean ± SD from 5 animals in respective week post-infection.
