PUCV protein expression profiling. SDS-PAGE of proteins expressed in PUCV-infected BHK-BSR cells detected by pulse radiolabelling of proteins with L[35S]-methionine and L[35S]-cysteine for 1 h at various times post-infection (left panel); or by immunoblotting using PUCV-specific mouse immune ascites fluid at various times post-infection (right panel). Bands corresponding approximately in size to the estimated molecular masses of the major viral structural proteins (L, G, N, P and M) and the non-structural glycoprotein (GNS) are indicated. Other bands that appear to be induced or were detected by immunoblotting in infected cells but not mock-infected cells are also indicated with arrowheads.
