Differential gene expression. A Volcano plots were used to visualize differential expression between APEC94 and APEC94Δlsr(Cm). Genes with significantly up-regulated expression are indicated with red dots, down-regulated genes are indicated with green dots, and blue dots represent genes with no significant differential expression. The results showed that 62 genes were up-regulated and 415 genes were down-regulated in APECΔlsr(Cm), compared with wild-type strain APEC94 (differentially expressed genes were selected when the fold change was > 2 and the q value < 0.005).
