Effect of the Rhodomyrtus tomentosa leaves (RTL) extract (A) and rhodomyrtone (B) at half their minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) on the internalization of the small-colony variant (SCV) strain Newbould ΔhemB into MAC-T cells after a 3.5 h treatment. Vancomycin was also used as a control in each assay. The bars represent the means of three independent experiments with standard deviations. One-way analysis of variance was performed with Dunnett’s post-test: ***P = 0.0002; ****P = 0.0001; ns: not significant (P > 0.05).
