Comparison between different groups of positive Foxp3 cells in immunohistochemistry. A significant increase in the expression of Foxp3+ lymphocytes was observed in the infected control group at 9 and 18 dpi (*) with respect to the negative control group and respect to the infected control and immunized groups at 1 and 3 dpi (P < 0.0001). No significant differences were found between the infected control group and the immunized group during the experiment.
