CFU/Lesion score correlation. The number of A. pleuropneumoniae CFU retrieved from the lungs after euthanasia was plotted against the corresponding lesion score for each individual animal. Statistical analysis by Pearson two-tailed r test showed a significant correlation between number of CFU and lesion score (P < 0.0001).
