From: Escherichia coli O78 isolated from septicemic lambs shows high pathogenicity in a zebrafish model
Gastrointestinal tract colonization in adult mice. The mice were gavaged with 1.5 × 108 CFU of E. coli K46 (tetracycline resistant) or the reference strain UPEC strain CFT073-ClmR (chloramphenicol resistant). The colonization was assessed at each of the indicated time points by enumerating CFU per gram feces of the inoculated strains. Data represent CFU/g feces ± SEM (n = 5 mice).
