Structure of Shiga toxin and Stx2eB-COMP. A All Shiga toxins have the AB5 toxin structure. A subunit is cleaved into A1 and A2 (held together by disulfide bonds). The five small B subunits surround the A2 region. B A structural diagram of Stx2eB-COMP. It was produced by fusion with COMP, also a pentamer, to stabilize the pentamer structure of the B subunit.
