CUR ameliorates central nervous system excitation, hyperthermia, slow growth, and poor survival in PRV-infected rats. A After the rats were intraperitoneally injected with 2.85 × 102 TCID50, 2.85 × 103 TCID50 and 2.85 × 104 TCID50 PRV or DMEM solution, the number of deaths in each group was recorded every day (n = 10). B The rats were intraperitoneally injected with low, medium, and high concentrations of CUR (25, 50, and 100 mg/kg BW) and resveratrol (RES 50 mg/kg BW) once per day for 14 days. On Day 8 (1 dpi), in addition to the control group, 0.1 mL of 2.85 × 103 TCID50 PRV was injected, and the mortality was recorded daily. C The horizontal and vertical motor abilities of the rats were observed on the 8th day (1 dpi). D The horizontal and vertical motor abilities of the rats were observed on Day 11 (4 dpi) (n = 3). All experiments were performed in parallel. The results are presented as the mean ± SD. Statistical significance was determined using one-way ANOVA followed by an LSD post hoc test for multiple comparisons among the groups. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001, and NS, not significant.
