The bacterial counts in the supernatant and bottom were determined by a ten-fold. serial dilution method. The ratios of bacterial counts in supernatant/total were used to represent the ratio of dispersion. All the values were obtained in triplicate in three independent experiments. In the same index, graph bars in a–b with different letters on top represent statistically significant results (p < 0.05), whereas bars labelled with the same letter correspond to results with no statistically significant differences.
