Orf1B interacts with EsaN. WT esaN::3 × FLAG/orf1B and WT eseE::3 × FLAG/orf1B strains cultured in DMEM were harvested and sonicated to produce cell lysates. These cell lysates were immunoprecipitated (IP) with an anti-HA antibody (rabbit, left panel), or with the pre-immune serum from rabbit (as a control). HA-Orf1B protein was detected by the anti-HA antibody, EsaN-3 × FLAG or EseE-3 × FLAG was detected with an anti-FLAG antibody. The band of EseE-3 × FLAG in the output of the left panel is non-specific as it was also detected from the IP with the pre-immune rabbit serum (right panel).
