Colorimetric results of on-farm loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) detection of bacteria in unprocessed mucus collected from steers. LAMP reactions were run in polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tubes submerged in water at 65 °C inside a precision cooker. kmt1 detects PM, rsmL detects MH and lolB detects HS. The reactions were run for 60 min. DNA-free water was used as a negative control. Reactions were diluted in water. Images were collected with a Samsung Galaxy A50 and adjusted using the brightness/contrast tool on ImageJ and the white balance tool on Adobe Lightroom.
