Determination of biofilm formation by APEC strains. Biofilm formation in 96-well plates was measured by crystal violet staining at OD_595nm. The biofilm formation of the mutant strain ΔdctR was reduced by 43.8% as compared with the wild-type strain. Statistical significance was determined using one-way ANOVA (**P < 0.01).
