Effect of peptides on neutrophil migration towards fMLP. Number of neutrophils that migrated towards fMLP (114 nM) after 20 min incubation at 37 °C. Neutrophils were treated with 50.0 μg/mL HBD3, HBD3 20AA analogue and, HBD3 28AA analogue. pn/f stands for peptide and neutrophils together in the upper well and fmlp in the bottom during 20 min incubation. fMLP is the positive control. Mean ± SEM of three independent experiments. One way ANOVA was followed by Dunnett’s multiple comparison test (P ≤ 0.0036). Asterisks show significant difference from PBS (Negative control) *P < 0.05.
