A Section of mammary tissue analyzed by indirect immunofluorescence and labeled for the keratins KRT14 and KRT7, and type I collagen for the extracellular matrix. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI. B Schematic representation of the epithelial bilayer with luminal and myoepithelial cells, all separated from stromal cells by the basal lamina constituted of extracellular matrix proteins.
