Protection index. Protective efficacy was determined after 2 weeks of challenge conducted on 21st day post-immunization. Brucella colony count was taken in spleen (A) and liver (B) tissues in each group (n = 5). Colony counts were converted into protective index using the statistical formula (y = log(x/log x), PI = ypbs − ytest) and presented with standard deviation. ***Indicates the significant difference against PBS control. P < 0.05 was considered significantly different.
