The signalling pathway of Eno-RPSA induced the loss of BBB integrity. SS2 Eno interacts with host RPSA, resulting in activated p38/ERK and MAPK-eIF4E signalling and, in turn, promoting expression of HSPD1 followed by caspase -3-induced apoptosis. (Green arrows = activation. Red arrows = inhibition).
