Fluorescence-based adherence assay ofH. suisandH. heilmanniiisolates to gastric epithelial MKN7 cells. The binding of FITC-labeled H. suis (HS1) and H. heilmannii (ASB1) isolates to gastric epithelial MKN7 cells was quantified by measuring the emission of fluorescent light at λ = 527 nm. The relative levels of FITC labeling of HS1 and ASB1 were analyzed by flow cytometry to correct for differential labeling of both Helicobacter strains. Therefore, data are presented as the mean intensity of the emitted light normalized to the relative level of FITC-labeling of H. suis and H. heilmannii strains.
