From: Lung endothelial cells are sensitive to epsilon toxin from Clostridium perfringens
The 1G11 mouse endothelial cell line expressesMalRNA. Reverse transcription-PCR detection of endogenous mouse Mal mRNA was extracted from kidneys and brain from mouse tissue (as a positive control) and from NIH/3T3 cells (as a negative control) and was compared to 1G11 cells. Samples were electrophoresed in 2% agarose gel. A band corresponding to Mal RNA weight was detected at around 500 bp in 1G11 cells and in brain and kidneys but not in NIH/3T3 cells. The 18S rRNA was used as a control. The DNA molecular weight marker is represented on the left (bp).
