The body weight gain of chickens in each group. LPS—birds at 32 days of age were intraperitoneally injected at a dose of 250 μg/kg of body weight with E. coli LPS; ASA—acetylsalicylic acid at a dose of 1 g/kg of diet; basal vitamin E (vE) level—80 mg/kg of diet; gradually increasing vE level—160 and 240 mg/kg of diet fed in the period 8–21 days and 22–35 days, respectively. a,b The different letters represent significant differences (P < 0.05).
