Growth ability of the wild-type, ΔnorV mutant, and complemented CΔnorV strains exposed to NO donor. Growth curves of A. hydrophila strains were determined under aerobic (A) and anaerobic (B) conditions without SNP treatment. After the addition of 0.5 mM SNP, the growth yields of A. hydrophila strains under aerobic (C) or anaerobic (D) conditions were detected by measuring the OD600 values. NO growth inhibition assay was performed in bacteria grown for 8 h at 28 °C in LB broth containing various concentrations of SNP under aerobic (E) or anaerobic (F) conditions. Values are the means ± SD from three biological replicates. ***P < 0.001.
