  1. Proteomics using high performance liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (HPLC–MS) was performed on ileal content of animals from the control (n = 9) and challenge (n = 9) group at day 26. This resulted in 3 proteins with a significantly higher normalized abundance (p < 0.05) and 9 proteins with a significantly lower normalized abundance (p < 0.05) in challenged birds.
