Effect of p53 on PRV replication in mice brains in vivo. Four- to 8-week-old male p53^−/− mice (n = 15) and wild-type mice (n = 15) were inoculated with 10⁵ TCID₅₀ of PRV (Bartha) intracranially. A The survival of the infected p53^−/− and wild-type mice was monitored for 14 days post-infection. Statistical significance was determined by the log-rank test. B, C At 5 days post-infection, the brains of the infected mice were harvested.
