Probability of non-degrading herd status over a 5-year period with maximum efforts regarding control measures. Initial herd statuses are defined as early low (A1), low (A2), moderate (B), and high (C) adult prevalence. Herd status D corresponds to adult prevalence above 60%. Paratuberculosis extinction implies no more infected animals and no more bacteria in the living environments.
