All data are reported as the mean (±SE) of results obtained for the pigs in the Control or Finistere groups (n = 5 in each group) or the surviving pigs (n = 5–8) in the Lena group. “a” indicates a significant difference between the Control and Lena groups, “b” a significant difference between the Control and Finistere groups and “c” a significant difference between the Lena and Finistere groups using a global Kruskal–Wallis test followed by a Holm’s adjusted pairwise Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney test (p < 0.05).
