Lpro can cleave itself from the viral polyprotein translated from the FMDV genome by either an intramolecular or intermolecular reaction. sLbpro is generated by removing six or seven residues from the C terminus of Lpro and B schematic representation of eIF4G and PABP cleavage induced by Lpro. Lpro can cleave eIF4G, eIF3, and PABP.
