In the East coast samples were collected from Digha, West Bengal; Chilika, Orissa; Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh; Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Port blair, Andaman while in the West coast samples were collected from Kochi, Kerala; Mangalore, Karnataka; Vasco-Da-Gama, Goa and Veraval, Gujarat.
