Effect of recombinant Shiga toxins and toxoids on CD77 expression by bovine CD8β ⁺ PBMC. Cells were incubated in culture medium containing 5 μg/mL PHA-P and rStx_WT or rStx_mut as indicated. After four days of incubation cells were submitted to immunolabelling and flow cytometry analysis. Percentages of CD8β⁺ PBMC co-expressing CD77 (events in the upper right quadrant) are given in the upper right corner of the dot plots. PBMC incubated in the presence of PHA-P and vector control were used as control (upper graph).
