Co-localization of DNA with histones (H3), neutrophil elastase (NE) and myeloperxodase (MPO) in E. bovis sporozoite-induced NET structures. Co-cultures of bovine PMN and E. bovis sporozoites and oocysts were fixed, permeabilized and stained for DNA using Sytox Orange (red: A, D, G) and probed for histone 3 (H3) (green: B), MPO (green: E) and NE (green: H) using anti-H3, anti-NE and anti-MPO antibodies jointly with adequate conjugate systems. Areas of respective co-localization (merges) are illustrated in C, F, I. Photomicrographs are of representative cells from 3 independent experiments.
