Infected birds were inoculated with 106.6 EID50 UDL-01/08 virus. Swab samples were inoculated into EHE and virus in the harvested allantoic fluid was detected by HA assay. * two quail on 4 dpi died and from this time point onward swabs from 8 birds were analysed.
