  1. Helicobacter genus-specific PCR products derived from Dunnart gastric DNA extracts were compared with the H. pylori Genbank sequences listed in the Table. The Dunnart samples exhibited 100% sequence identity with 16s rRNA from five human clinical isolates of H. pylori, and 96-98% sequence identity with cagA and ureA from two human clinical isolates of H. pylori.
